TIM POTTER

BIO


Tim is an award winning director, actor and screenwriter. In 2017, he took home Silver in the London International Awards, as well as receiving a Crystal in the 2017 Adstars Awards. Tim was also the 2017 recipient of the ABC Pitch iView Award, for his short-form comedy series, Waiting. A graduate from the Victorian College of the Arts (Acting), Tim began his career as a stand-up comedian and actor, featuring in numerous film and television roles. Tim wrote, co-produced and starred in the Tropfest winning film, Lemonade Stand, which has gone on to collect awards at many national and international festivals. Following this success, Tim has developed his first television series and written for Gristmill’s (Upper Middle Bogan) ABC comedy, Little Lunch. As an actor, Tim has most recently appeared in Upper Middle Bogan, Newton’s Law, Ronnie Chieng: International Student and Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge. He also features in the current season of Working Dog’s series, Utopia. With his strong background as both a performer and writer, Tim delivers a unique and invaluable approach to his directing, offering an intuitive and easygoing rapport with his actors.
