Charlotte McLaverty

17 year old Charlotte McLaverty hails from Melbourne and has works across many mediums including directing award winning short films and appearing in television commercials, television series, photography shoots, musical theatre productions, plays, and more.

Char Co wrote and directed an anti-bullying film for Dolly’s Dream which has received world-wide recognition and was backed by Billie Eilish – By Teens for Teens.

Charlotte was the winner of the Rising Star Award for B&T Women in Media Awards and was also listed as number 23 of The Future Sixty in Vogue Australia Magazine’s 60th Year Anniversary Edition; ‘those who are set to define the coming years’.

Char was also awarded Bronze for Direction at the 41st AWARD Awards, was shortlisted by Young Director Awards and Ad Star Awards, recognised as a Finalist at Ciclope International Festival of Craft for (Director) New Talent and Dolly’s Dream has a Casting Guild Nomination for Best Casting in a TVC.

Her short film ‘Social’ was awarded 2nd Place Winner at Tropfest Jr. 2019 and has also been recognised with 1st Place Grand Prix at Lantern and Light International Film Festival, 1st Place at Imagination Lunchbox International Film Festival in Baltimore USA, Best Director 4KBK Film Festival Las Vegas USA, Best Narrated Short at Bayside Film Festival, won Emerging Film Maker at Perfect Light International Film Festival, Shortlisted by Stellar Film Festival and 1st Place for The International KidsNFilm Festival and best film at Setting Sun Film Festival.
